ANNOUNCEMENTS: International Conference on 4th Industrial Revolution and Its Impacts (IC4IR2019)

Walailak University has a pleasure to invite you to International Conference on 4th Industrial Revolution and Its Impacts (IC4IR2019) to be held in Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, on the 28th - 30th March 2019. The conference covers the impacts of the 4th Industrial Revolution on Science and Technology, Health Science, Environments as well as Social aspects. Multidisciplinary research works will be presented and discussed in connection with the sustainability of world development.

Nakhon Si Thammarat is an exceptional location for the academic event. Located in Southern Thailand, the province is renowned for both beautiful mountain and sea with cultural heritage and background. IC4IR2019 will provide opportunities for refreshing the knowledge, exploring the innovations and extending the research network.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we encourage our global colleagues to join us in this academic event and take a little extra time to experience the unique beauty of Nakhon Si Thammarat and nearby Samui Island.

CALL FOR PAPERS : International Conference on Biomedical Sciences 2018

International Conference on Biomedical Sciences (ICBMS 2018) to be held in Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, on the 22-23 March, 2018. In conjunction with 26th Anniversary of Walailak University, the “International Conference on Biomedical Sciences - ICBMS 2018” with the theme of “Innovation and Natural Products for Health and Well-Being” is initiated under one of the core research activities of the Research Excellence Center for Innovation and Health Products (RECIHP) being held annually. Under the Thailand 4.0, funded by the Walailak University, the RECIHP aims at coordinating and disseminating updated information on medical research with a special focus on tropical diseases and natural products. This Center is dedicated to be a unique facility to promoting and facilitating this integrated program at WU, and will be made widely available for translational medical research and innovative natural products through “Bench to Point of Care” approach. One of RECIHP research activities is to support its mission by inventing, manufacturing, and sharing cutting edge approaches for the identification of medical research and plant based products through organizing ICBMS 2018. This conference will precisely cater various groups of research communities such as researchers, policy-makers, academicians, medical professionals, scientists and students with their research activities being novel, innovative and translating into commercial products through business entrepreneurs. This meeting definitely provides interesting and rewarding sessions and interactions. The 2nd Walailak University Cultural Camp 2018 (WUCC2018) 

Theme:
In Honour of HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak: Cultures without Borders

Date:  16th - 23rd June 2018

Venue: Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and Bangkok, Thailand

Participants: 100 Non-Thai citizens and 60 Thai students from Walailak University. Walailak University students must apply through your School/Faculty.

WUCC2018 aims to promote a global students’ network among 160 international participants. Throughout the 8-day program, the camp participants will have opportunity to EXPLORE Nakhon Si Tammarat Province, the historical city on the eastern part of southern Thailand, and Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, EXCHANGE cultures, ENGAGE in various activities among global youth, and ENJOY every moment together.

Walailak University, International College is seeking 10 lecturers with the following qualifications:

1. Thai or other nationalities who can communicate verbal/written in English fluently. Except for Public Affairs Program, only opens for foreign applicants.
2. Hold a doctoral or master degree from the countries that use English as a main language in the areas stated in each group of positions as following:
      2.1 Lecturers for Hotel and Tourism Management Program (2 positions)
           • Hotel and Tourism Management and a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification are essential. Experience of practical industry to complement academic credentials, would also be strongly advantageous.
      2.2 Lecturers for Logistics Analytics and Supply Chain Management Program (3 positions)
           • Business, Engineering, Science or related fields with specialty in analysis and management of logistics and supply chain 
      2.3 Lecturers for Digital Innovation Engineering Program (2 positions)
           • Engineering, Science or related field of computer including Innovation Design and Digital Technology Entrepreneur
      2.4 Lecturers for Public Affairs Program (1 positions)
           • Arts, Political, Public Administration or related field with specialty in Public Affairs, Politics and Government, International Relation, Public management, Monetary and Fiscal Policy
      2.5 Lecturers for Accounting Program (2 positions)
           • Accounting
3. Special with a master degree from English speaking countries have to graduate in the program with research thesis. Besides, he or she has evidence showing English language professional equivalent to IELTS score of at least 7.0 or TOEFL score (paper-based) of at least 600 or TOEFL score (internet-based) of at least 100 or other equivalents upon an official appointment.  Further, applicants with a master degree with evidence research thesis and good academic and English language skill for pursuing a doctoral degree.
4. Special consideration will be given to the applicants who have extensive experience in teaching, research and publications in their field of specialty.
5. Salary rate will commensurate with education and follow the university standard. Top-up  money may be considered.

Ph.D. Scholarship for Outstanding International Students @Walailak University, THAILAND

Walailak University would like to introduce the newly-launching  scholarship program for international students named "The Ph.D. Scholarship for Outstanding International Students". This scholarship enables international students to undertake full-time research in Ph.D. programs at Walailak University, located next to the beautiful seaside of the Gulf of Thailand, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Southern Thailand.

The Ph.D. Scholarship for Outstanding International Students offers a 3-year financial support to international students;
1) Full scholarships covering tuition fee, dormitory fee and monthly allowance (10,000 baht per month / approx. USD 300 per month)
2) Partial scholarships covering tuition fee and dormitory fee

The 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Agriculture and Agro-Industry (ISSAA) to be held in Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, on the 28th - 29th March 2017. The symposium covers the most relevant scientific topics involving Crop production, Animal production, Aquaculture, Food technology and Biotechnology. The committee collaborates with Institute of Research and Development, Walailak University to launch a special issue of Walailak Journal of Science and Technology (Walailak J. Sci. & Tech. or WJST).

WJST is a peer-reviewed international journal (indexed by SCOPUS) and published 12 issues per year (Monthly). For this special issue, it will publish original research works (Original Article and Review) which contribute significantly to the scientific knowledge in sustainable agriculture and agroindustry, which will be published in 2017 (Vol. 14, No. 11). All manuscripts will be subject to the journal’s normal process of evaluation for suitability for peer review.
